Honda's new company jet is finally set to take launch and has been cleverly dubbed the "Civic of the sky." For Franklin, TN residents who aren't familiar with the new Honda aircraft, the automaker's has been working on the passenger plane for quite some time. Noted for its two engines placed over the wings, the airborne Honda machine is finally gaining approval for the skies.
Fumika Ishioka, a Tokyo-based Honda spokeswoman, explains, "US federal certification for the jet's engine should come before the end of this year and for the aircraft overall next year."1
Furthermore, requests for the crafty little HondaJet passenger plane is already rising. Company officials say over 100 customers have placed official orders for the transporting machine thus far. Like the grounded new Honda vehicles you see at our Honda dealership in Franklin, TN, the Honda aircraft is ultra-efficient, using around 20-percent less fuel while still offering up 20-percent more space.
