At Darrell Waltrip Honda, we make it our mission to keep drivers in the Nashville, TN area informed about the latest new models and exciting innovations, but we also like to keep you abreast of the latest sales figures for our preferred Japanese automaker.
Things are certainly going well for the Honda brand, and if the sales figures for October are any indication, drivers can't get enough of all that a new Honda model has to offer.
Last month, exactly 114,538 new models were moved off U.S. Honda dealership lots, which is a gain of 7.1 percent year-over-year. Not only does this figure represent a gain on yearly sales, but it also increases American Honda Motor Co. Inc.'s year-to-date sales to an impressive 1,273,550 models, which reflects an increase of 8.5 percent.
Of the 114,538 models sold in October, 100,242 of them were from the Honda division, which is a 5.7 percent increase from October of 2012.
Specifically, there were three models in the Honda lineup that stood out last month:
- The Accord sold a total of 25,162 models for a gain of 11.2 percent year-over-year
- The Honda CR-V beat its previous October sales record from 2006 with the sales of 22,544 units, which is an 11.6 percent increase over October of 2012
- The Civic achieved its best October numbers in twelve years thanks to the ales of 27,328 units, which is a sustainable gain of 32.1 percent over last year
