We once dreamt that we would one day be able to drive the vehicles we only viewed in video games. Fortunately, automakers such as Honda continue to test boundaries and make what was once a dream into a reality.
Such is the case as a result of Honda's team-up with Forza Motorsport, a huge race-gaming franchise. Together, the Japanese automaker and Forza Motorsport created the Forza Motorsport Civic Si Design Contest to create some of the most innovative fan designs. With the onset of the Chicago Auto Show, we can now finally say we have a winner.
After reviewing almost 170 entries, the winner of the 2014 Civic Si Coupe design went to Forza gamer Tiffany Labedz of Phoenix, AZ. She reigned the favorite among over 17,000 members of the Xbox Forza community.
Labedz's design features a striking red and black design scheme with sharp white wind-like strokes hugging its sides. Labedz's entry also highlights Honda's VTEC engines.
"At Honda, we love meeting our customers where their passion lies, and the racing and custom car design in Forza Motorsport is definitely a passion for so many Honda and Civic enthusiasts," says Tom Peyton, assistant vice president of advertising for American Honda.1
"Taking an immersive gaming experience like Forza and bringing it to life here at the Chicago Auto Show will make for an exciting exhibition and a real-life demonstration of how cars and gaming are increasingly intertwined," he adds.2
