While Honda is more commonly known for stylish vehicles for urban and suburban drivers, it is less commonly known for its roots in racing. For years, the one place where those two divisions met was with the Civic Type R, a race car in the frame of a Civic Coupe. At the Geneva Motor Show, we saw a concept version, which according to recent spy shots, is exactly how the production car will look.
This is pretty exciting, although we don't think we'll be getting it here in the U.S. (although, there is a petition). The production version boasts a demure 2.0-liter turbocharged engine boasting 276 horsepower delivered to the front wheels--more than enough to beat some lap records. To see what the Type R will look like, check out the video below for a refresher.
While the Type R may not come to our Franklin, TN dealership, we still are expecting a few new models you can really get behind. To learn more about these great new Honda models, drop by our showroom, or keep tabs on our blog!
